Hello!
My name is Lauren and I am a teacher & performer.
I grew up in Glenview, Illinois, and enjoyed the wonderful music and theatre programs the local schools had to offer. I received my undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance and Theatre from Millikin University in 2019, and graduated in May 2022 from Oklahoma City University with my masters in Opera Performance. I have performed locally and internationally with various opera companies and have had my students go on to sing in professional opera choruses, be accepted to top ten musical theatre programs, and star as leads in local productions.

I believe that the studio should be a place to explore- a place for students to get in touch with their inner lives, and develop a form of self expression that that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. Music grows identity, compassion, self confidence, and intelligence, and is a lifelong investment in a student's future.
Why Take Lessons?
Music has a number of benefits, from improved standardized test scores, to better health and longevity, so increased self confidence and quality of life. The evidence doesn't lie:
A study by E. Glenn Schellenberg at the University of Toronto found an increase in the IQs of six-year-olds who were given weekly voice and piano lessons.
